PROTECT OUR HERITAGE

Our community is rich in natural and cultural heritage. Let’s not lose what defines us and makes us unique.

Joni Mitchel had it right when she wrote:

Don’t it always seem to go

That you don’t know what you got ‘til it’s gone

They paved paradise put up a parking lot

I support the protection of our coastline, dunes, foreshore, and the heritage of the built environment. I will advocate for and encourage increased tree canopies and green spaces. The greening of neighbourhoods has multiple benefits, including increased natural habitat, cooling, increased carbon capture in the face of climate change, and improved community aesthetics.
